We often tell our players that playing an escape room is like an obsession; it’s like eating potato chips, ‘you can’t [play] just one!’ We don’t just say that because we are cluemasters; we say it from experience. Most, if not all, of our cluemasters have played several escape rooms before and we mean it when we say that we love to play them! If you’ve played a few escape rooms, you just might be a fellow escape room fanatic, like many of our cluemasters. We’ve compiled a list to help you know if you’re just a little bit obsessed with solving puzzles and finding clues.
You’re Always Ready For The Next Room
You might be obsessed with escape rooms, if you find yourself always ready to play another game, even if you just walked out of the door of an escape room game—whether you’ve won or lost. Your mood mimics that of a child, after they do something fun and they exclaim: “Again! Again! Again!”
You See Puzzles Everywhere You Go
Another way to tell if you are an ‘escape room fanatic’ is if you start seeing everything in your life as a puzzle to be solved. For example, you start wondering if every clock you see has some significant meaning other than telling time. Another example, would be if you begin seeing patterns on the floor, or in the texturing of a wall. The point is, after you have played a few escape rooms, you suddenly expect puzzles and clues to be found everywhere.
You Look For Other Opportunities To Play Escape Rooms
As an avid escape room player you may have already completed many of the rooms in your local area, and you may even have another room scheduled. A true fanatic won’t wait for the scheduled room, he or she would find a way to play another room as soon as possible, just to fill the void. Someone who’s obsessed with escape rooms would be looking for card game versions, board game versions, app versions, or any other escape room they could get their hands on!
All You Talk About Is Escape Rooms
The final way to tell if you are an escape room fanatic, is that escape room games are all you talk about. Your friends and family have probably told you at least once, that they don’t want to hear any more about the last escape room you played, or about the one you are planning to do the next chance you get.
If you’re obsessed with escape rooms, we don’t blame you, and we definitely understand you! In fact, we’d like to help you get set up for your next one! Click here to book your next experience!
