NEXT EVENT: FRIDAY, September 17
TIME: 6:30pm – 9:00pm
FUTURE EVENTS-with a Spooky Halloween Theme: October 15 and October 29
Note: This is a public game. If you have NOT booked the entire table, you will likely be paired with other guests.
A Participative Event:
These are fully immersive events where everyone gets the opportunity to participate and be a star! The games are constructed so that everyone has a chance to interact. Using the scripted dialogues and questions helps break the ice and gets everyone into character. Even total novices get into the swing of things quite quickly!
Dinner attendees get to play the roles of either Suspects OR Innocent Bystanders- ie. Amateur detectives. Don’t panic! No prior rehearsals and no special acting ability required. Guests do not need to memorize any information as everything they need to play their parts is provided in a Script Booklet or Question Envelopes. Therefore, you can really ham it up…or simply read your lines.
Are You Suspects?
The 6 Suspects will be randomly chosen the evening of the event as the dinner attendees arrive. You will be able to state during booking if you would like to be a “suspect” or not.
The Suspects will introduce their characters and reveal clues during dialogues scenes and by answering pointed questions. All acted out with a script in hand by the chosen guests – this is always hysterical as everyone hams it up and throws themselves into things with no rehearsal.
Even the Suspects are not explicitly told in their booklets they are the murderer. So everyone can take part in solving the mystery. When it comes time to guess who did it – it could easily be any of them! At the end, Suspects can even point the finger at themselves.
Are You Innocent Bystanders? – i.e. Amateur Detectives.
All other guests will take the role of “amateur detectives” to grill the suspects during the evening using scripted questions. These questions are an important part of solving the murder and are all worded in first person, which means they are “ready to go”. Each table will have a Question Envelope with their own set of unique questions that must be asked of the suspects. This means that everyone can get involved. The results are usually hilarious as guests throw themselves into accents, ad lib, or read the questions exactly as is with the detailed attention of a professional detective.
At the end of the evening, each table will need to decide together on Who’s the Murderer. Tables that guess correctly will win a prize!
But don’t worry if you don’t guess correctly, because there will be Awards given for the best and the worst of the evening!
The Host
As the only person in the know, a Professional Murder Mystery Host will make sure the event moves smoothly by leading the evening’s shenanigans in the role of The Inspector. The host will choose the 6 Suspects as the dinner attendees arrive and answer any questions they might have about their assigned roles. They will also be the final judge of who guessed correctly and give out the Prizes and Awards.
