While we believe that escape rooms are just fun whether you win or lose, winning can enhance the fun that you have while playing the game. If you’re going to win though, you need to first make sure that you have a great team on your side. We’ve compiled a list of people you need to make your team a winning team, even if it’s your first escape room!
Every successful team needs someone who is motivated and driven to succeed. This will be the person who walks into the room with a game plan; who’s confident in their puzzle solving abilities. A driven person has the goal in mind to escape the room and will help carry the team to victory by any means necessary.
It’s important to have someone who is high spirited when you play an escape room. This person will keep up the excitement as the pressure rises and make sure that everyone is having a good time. This person will help the team to be successful, simply by keeping up the positive energy.
3. Detail oriented
While playing escape rooms, it’s important to pay attention to detail. There are things in the escape rooms that might be missed if someone is not focused on the little things. A detail oriented person might be more likely to notice the dog-eared page in a book, or maybe the tilted frame or anything that may not be easily noticed by the rest of of the team.
This person is a very important piece of the ‘team member puzzle.’As tensions rise during the escape game, the peacekeeper can help keep the team calm as they work through to solve each puzzle and locate the clues, and also keep the stress level down. This team member will help the team to be successful by making sure that everyone else is heard and understood.
5. Open minded
It’s a great idea to have someone who is open minded as the team works through solving puzzles. The open minded person in an escape room is not afraid to try anything to see if it actually gives you a code to a lock. The minute someone else in the room says ‘that can’t be the answer,’ the open minded team member will try it, just for the chance to be successful.
In any escape room it’s essential to have the right team on your side to help you escape and win the game. Each member of the team offers strengths that help balance things out and ultimately lead the group to success! Think you’ve got the perfect team? It’s time to book your room and find out if your team has what it takes to make an EPIC escape!
